The tool is designed to work without accounts, advertising scripts, or a search-history database.

Information used for a lookup

When you submit a domain or URL, our server extracts the registered domain. It sends that domain to the appropriate registry’s RDAP service and, separately, to the Internet Archive to request website history. URL paths and query parameters are not forwarded to those data providers. Avoid submitting URLs containing private information.

Temporary processing and caching

Public registration results may be cached in server memory for five minutes and archive results for up to one hour. These caches are temporary and are not a persistent search-history database. When a trusted hosting proxy is configured, a hash of the requesting IP address is used in a temporary request-limit counter. Otherwise, requests share a counter. Counter windows last one minute; expired entries are reclaimed as needed, and all memory resets when the server instance stops.

Browser storage

Your light or dark theme preference is stored in your browser’s local storage. The application does not set tracking cookies. You can clear the saved preference through your browser settings.

Website analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics on the production website to understand visits to our public pages, traffic sources, and general device and country information. It does not use analytics cookies. Vercel uses a temporary visitor identifier that resets daily rather than tracking visitors across days or websites.

We remove query parameters and URL fragments from the page addresses sent as analytics events and only count our public content pages. We do not send the domains you search for, pasted URLs, lookup results, or form contents as analytics events. Preview and local development builds do not load our analytics integration. Analytics collection and report availability depend on our Vercel plan and project settings. See Vercel’s analytics privacy documentation for details of its processing.

Hosting and external providers

The hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, request URLs, and timestamps, for delivery, security, and diagnostics. Retention depends on the hosting configuration. Registry services and the Internet Archive operate under their own policies. Opening a source or archive link takes you to an external website.

Your choices

No registration is required. You may stop using the service and clear local browser data at any time. We do not display domain registrants’ personal contact details in lookup results.
